After giving birth to her daughter Adira, Rani Mukherji is busy parenting and not taking any new projects. However, Rani seems to have accepted the offer to make an appearance at the Mauritius Cinema Week.
Rani posted a photo on Instagram:
New, at the airport today, heading to Mauritius for a film festival ✨! Love the rebel, chic look, I swear to god, she’s the cutest thing ever! Her smile is so dazzling and it makes me so happy that Rani has been getting so much press coverage over the past few days 😊❤️. It’s truly way more different then when I started this account, when she was pregnant and didn’t take any press photo 🤰 📸. But now look, she’s practically making more appearances than Jacky or Deepika!
The cinema week will start on the 5th October and will end on the 8th of October. Celebrities from around the world are expected to add glamour to the event. It is not only Rani from Bollywood who is attending the show, but other actors like Suresh Oberoi, Vivek Oberoi, Kabir Bedi and directors like S. S. Rajamouli and ‘Rang de Basanti’ fame Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra are also expected to arrive at the Cinema Week.
Mauritius is gearing up for its 50th independence and what can be a better way to connect with the world than cinema. Foreign artists like Emmanuelle Beart, Amma Asante and Nicole Garcia are expected to grace the occasion. Indian films are quite popular in Mauritius. Films like Rang de Basanti, Baahubali- The Beginning, Baahubali- the conclusion and Gandhi will be screened during the fest.
The film fest is likely to bridge the gap between filmmakers of the east and west and will encourage them for a greater participation. Even the theme of the Film week ‘East Meets West’ aptly conveys the objective of the Mauritian government.
