After a hiatus of five years Sanjay Dutt is all set to make a comeback with his upcoming movie Bhoomi. Sanjay Dutt was serving five year imprisonment in jail. He was last seen in the movie PK. Bhoomi is directed by Mary Kom director Omung Kumar.
The movie is about father-daughter relationship which ultimately turns into a revenge story. Aditi Rao Hydari will be playing the role of Sanjay Dutt’s daughter. The trailer was released by Sanjay Dutt himself and Ranbir Kapoor was also present at the launch. The intriguing trailer garnered almost over 8 Million views in 24 hours. Omung Kumar, the director of the movie took to Twitter and thanked the audience for their overwhelming response.

Shekhar Suman will be playing the role of Sanjay Dutt’s friend. Sharad Kelkar will play a pivotal role in the movie. Here’s what Sanjay Dutt had to say about the script and storyline of the movie: “I have been looking for scripts that went beyond my screen persona. I wanted to do something vulnerable yet powerful”. Sharad Kelkar plays the sleazy and evil villain, a local goon in the movie. The trailer shows a strong bond between the father and daughter and how things take an ugly turn which leads to tragic events. Sanjay Dutt, who plays a protective father and his daughter are living their normal lives when some wrong-doers destroy their happy family life. Sunny Leone will also be seen in a special appearance in the song ‘Trippy Trippy’.

Bhoomi was supposed to release on 4th August but the release date has been postponed to 22nd September 2017 in order to avoid clashes with Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar. It will be interesting to see whether this revenge drama will turn out to be a successful comeback for Sanjay Dutt.
